Default Lynyrd Skynyrd - Freebird - Sweet Home Alabama - 7/2/1977

Three months before the crash and one month before The King died.

Yep. Headed to Baton Rouge. That crash should have never happened. What kind of pilot runs out of fuel? It ain't like their distance isn't charted and fuel consumption isn't part of the flight plan.

This explains why they ran out of gas. The whole thing is good but start around 3 min for explanation

    Yup, he's crazy...

Dammit man! In a plane crash and got shot by a Mississippi farmer all in one night! Talk about some bad luck! Damn!

Thanks Silent, that explains the fuel problem. Good interview too.

My favorite band. Did a paper on them in school, and made the only A+ I ever made in high school in that class. Got to meet the modern interpretation of them at the state fair back in 2016. I was surprised how short they are. Allen Collin’s daughter, lives in Lexington. My dad did some remodeling work for her neighbor, and then her. Very nice lady, and her collection of her dad’s stuff will blow your mind.

Ronnie Van Zant was 29 when he was killed. What an amazing person to accomplish so much and leave such a legacy in so few years.
