    Default Pulling Sequoia stumps

2020 Powerstroke numbers are out and Ford’s raised the bar. 475hp and 1050lbft on the torque.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

But, will it stay together for 200k miles? 300k?

Or, will it be a powerhouse that won't stay together without $15k in repairs inside of the first 150k miles like they've been putting out the last 10-15yrs?

The ONLY reason they went with a 10 speed trans was to meet emissions. That trans will be the weak link.

When Ford went back to building their engines the problems decreased. So 2011 would be the first year of that. Not sure what rock you’ve been under.

I’ll let you know once they let me build it online so I can shop it.

I’ll let you know. This short box truck is driving me nuts. I know I like the Ford and would like to drive a LWB RAM CTD HO Limited with air ride and Aisin but can’t find one anywhere. Long Bed on a SRW LWB RAM and those mirrors really don’t do it for me though.

    Decreased? What does that mean?

I've been hiding under the same rock since 2005. That Excursion has served us well since then. Before that was that '97 model that gave us worry free service until last year when you put that injector module in there for me.

I'm with FEETS. My point was, did they actually hit the mark on a new run of diesels? They have a shitty track record including huge repair costs associated with emissions and fuel delivery systems in fairly recent history, for sure.

However, we can definitely agree that the tranny will be the weak link. Little has changed in emission requirements since Obama. I expect the motors will be tough.

An objective opinion on diesel reliability is about as apolitical as abortion. However the overall market doesnt lie and 1 diesel sells far and away more than the others. I never anticipate a need for a 3/4 ton diesel however the F250s are impressive.

In my opinion anything over 1000 ft lbs of torque is just overcompensating!

DEF delete solves almost all the issues with new diesels

My 6.7 was deleted and tuned by Kev. 1 step up from factory is = to what the new truck is putting out. It's astounding compared to my 2000 7.3 or my 1999 Cummins.

Yep, except for the fact that the EPA has put a screeching ass halt to all that in the last couple months.....
