    Default How many eyes

Not sure where else to put this, but when shooting a shotgun do yall shoot with one or two eyes open? I find that I usually shoot with just one eye. I know everyone and everything says have two eyes open but I find when I do that that because of where my vision crosses that it seems like I'm looking down two barrels that are pointing different ways

When I shoot a shotgun with my non-dominant eye(right-handed/left eye dominant), I close one. When I shoot left-handed, I keep both eyes open.

I've tried that, following/leading the target but it seems like there are just too many things going on for my brain to focus

I shoot both eyes open, I do not even see the gun when I shoot only focused on the target.

Let's not talk about what is going on in your brain.

While wingshooting, I don't aim, therefore, both eyes are open.

like I told my son when teaching him to shoot.

Both eyes open, concentrating only on the bird. Swing through and fire.

I'm left handed, left eye dom and shoot RH......don't know !
I'm very inconsistent with my shooting (understandably so I guess).....average throughout the season around a box of shells per limit of dove I'd estimate but periodically get it done in the 95-75% range.
Shot around 30 rounds today but who da fuk is counting......try it both ways and.............you can't lead em enough!!!!!!!

Yep. I have told folks that begin shooting flying targets/birds at an older age, that it is like throwing a football. If someone tosses you a football and takes off running, your brain immediately judges their speed, your arm strength and knows roughly where to throw the ball. You look at the target, not the arm/football. I don’t see the bead of the gun at all. I just see the bird.
