    I can remember my grandmama picking beans in the garden, looking over, standing up and grabbing her hoe, swinging it and then going back to picking beans. She’d holler at us kids and tell us to steer clear of the rattlesnake she’d jus killed.

    Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

    Momma used to carry a .38 chief special in her waistband when working in the garden or pickin blackberries. Every now and then you would hear a bang. She never missed a beat, she'd just step over them and keep pickin.

    I would never want to be on the other side of her .38. She killed a dog in our yard at over 50 steps.....graveyard dead. Head shot.
