It will never happen in my opinion, look at plant Vogel and how much over budget it is. Same exact plant and it hasn’t been shutdown going on almost 2 years. The cost just to get everything back in start up mode is gonna be mind blowing I would think

The NRC recently approved some South Korean designs for reactors(APR 1400's). A company called KEPCO is looking to get into this game. I saw somewhere that the COL's were forfeited when the site was shuttered, and it will take 3 years to get them back.

It was in the state paper a while back but I’ve got a pretty good industry publication I’ll try to post when I get back in front of my computer.

Pretty sure that was where the huge tanks were from that they brought in on a boat and shut down roads to transport in from the coast.

They sold most of the components for scrap to pay Bonuses before they went belly up. Least they have the cooling towers and port-a-Jon’s still intact

That's ok. I got $93 from them in my refund check. I think were all square.

Certain parts of the site were mothballed correctly. And yes things like the UTVs were shipped out in roll off containers to scrap yards and transfered ownership.

I’ve wondered if they are still paying for the HLD crane to be on site or if it’s been paid for and just sitting
