Beta blocker. Slows your heart rate. Can decrease blood pressure. Like any beta blocker, it can take the lead out of your pencil.

Dont know what the reason you were placed on it however if it was for blood pressure there are many far better options unless those have all been tried. If for arrhythmia/HF then decent choice. Many people note a decrease in energy and exercise performance.

I was going to suggest the same, but I don’t know bohicas situation or story. I know it can be hereditary and some seemingly healthy people can have high BP.
If you are smoking, drinking, leading an unhealthy life then changing those things immediately can have larger than you may think impact on your BP among other things.

I was letting myself slip for the last 5 years following a pretty bad car wreck that had me on bed rest for 4 months and about this time last year I decided it was time to get after it and reverse my bad habits atleast most of the time.
Lost 50+lbs (6’3”, weighed 235-240, 34 years old) and in the process dropped my BP from high 130s if I recall correctly to 105-110 At one point a doc said I was in prehypertension and wanted me to start taking meds and I didn’t (Amlodipine). Also went from 38 waist to a 32-34 and can wear pants I had from high school and feel much better all around.

Don’t use the meds as your first option is all I am trying to say I guess.

Second that. We could sell tickets for charity and raise tens of thousands of dollars.
