    Default APCA Random Drug Test

My son is working on a boat in Costa Rica and flies out to San Jose del Cabo to start a new job this Thursday. He has no idea when he will be back in the States. Received a random testing letter from APCA today.

Anyone have experience with this situation? I have emailed APCA and don't have a response yet.

I couldn't get anyone on the phone so I emailed to ask what to do.
I finally got someone on the phone and they will exempt you under these circumstances.

Shouldn't be a problem to get the exemption in this case. But they will probably want to test as soon as he steps back on US soil, I am assuming.

Unless there's a consortium testing center IN Costa Rica, he can't comply. It that simple. The course here is to let them know he's abroad and be prepared to validate that fact.

Any chance of a test in the last 185 days?

Otherwise, an explanation and copy of passport showing where he is should suffice until his return.

    PM sent....
