    Default UTV Comparisons

Looking at potentially buying a UTV. The used market seems to be pretty slim and quite honestly would be worried about potentially buying a dogged out machine while not really saving that much in the long run. I do not have much experience with any of them and am wondering what y'all have and want to hear the good, bad, etc. I would be using it for hunting as well as general work/hauling, spraying small duck impoundments, and general cruising around. I don't need to go 60mph but want something with some power and 4wd.

Have been looking online at rangers, gators, and mules mainly because they are familiar brands to me but am open to any input. Thanks.

I had a Kawasaki mule for work for several years and we beat the absolute shit out of it and it never missed a lick so I bought one a couple years ago and have had the same experience. It aint fast but it's done everything I've asked of it until now.

I’ve been pondering selling my Ranger...2018 XP 1000 has around 500 miles, tons of upgrades.

I’ve got a Gator 625i that I bought for a song in 2014. I’ve beat the hell out of that thing, gone through shit that I thought I’d get stuck in, gotten stuck in shit I thought would be easy and winched out. I haul about 30 5 gallon buckets of corn around at a time feeding, throw dead shit in the back and whatever else. The only complaint I have is deep water and getting the belt wet. I think I’ve got somewhere around 1600hrs on it with no issues.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

I had 40 bags of corn in the back of my mule Saturday. Put that thing in low gear and it didn’t miss a beat

I have a Polaris Ranger. It goes places I can't believe. Deep water in Arkansas is no problem.

This is the wrong time of the year to find deals on used ones. I just bought my dad a Polaris 500 to ride to the stand because he's having trouble getting around these days. New one was only $1000-1200 more than what people was wanting for 5-8 year old ones.

This is the first negative review I have seen on a can am.

I picked up a HD5 about a month ago. Hours are still very low but I've been really happy with it. I guess I will see how it shakes out.

Had a couple of Rangers. No problems other than self induced issues.

A guy here in town posted a really nice Mule on FB yesterday. I think his name was Kenneth Stone.
