I’m tagged out but have 3 days left here and dad still has a mule deer tag. Neither of us have been hunting out west before so it’s a learning experience. Never thought hunting these antelopes could be this much fun.

Nothing wrong with that! I'll be there in three weeks can't wait. What part of the state are you in?

About an hour and a half south of Colorado Springs. The antelope are chasing hard right now with the full moon.

I just left Colorado last week .killed a nice bull. I'm in montana for the next 6 days elk hunting. Nothing beats the Rockies in September.

I still can’t get over how cool these animals are, I never saw one in person until 3 days ago. Taxidermist here said he’s 4 1/2 to 5 1/2 years old. I can’t complain with that for my first one. Now we just need some of these big mulies we’ve been seeing to cooperate.

Nice. I killed my first one on my first western hunt last year in Wyoming. Once you go out that way it seems to change you forever. It’s all I think about now. We are headed to the Sandhills of Nebraska in late November for a mule deer. Good luck to your dad. And you weren’t playing with that neck shot.

    That is good stuff, congrats!

Nice goat. What was he, about 13"? They have a neat coat with hollow hair (which easily falls out so don't let the rug rats pet it too much one you get it on the wall). Were y'all spot and stalk or on water holes? How long of a shot?

Just curious teal,...…..how old are you and what do you do for a living. I'm way past my prime, but I'm planning for my next life.

No welfare land hunting on that one Glenn, I’ve been hunting a buddies property out here. But I’m going to check out some public land the next couple days. Carolina Counsel, I’m not sure how long his horns were I forgot to measure them before I dropped it off at the taxidermist. I shot him near water at 75 yards. I’ve had 8 good bucks inside 30 yards but just couldn’t get drawn without them seeing me.
