    I'm no treeologist and I can tell you pine grows faster. I'm also certain pine is far more economically priced compared to cypress. I can only imagine due to availability.

    I purchased a few boards from the lumber yard outside Manning and made 5 boxes of my own.

    Which reminds me, I need to move 2 of those boxes, that have gone unused for a few years now.

    Two years ago the pallets of duck boxes made from pine were full of termites. I left mine there and just went home with the predator guards.

    Last years cypress boxes were great quality. Hoping for the same quality this year.

    Those ones from two years ago were just about trashed after one year.
