Well with all the hubb Bubb of big bro getting his buck last Sunday, little brother had to have something to say about it.

Ayden is five and a pretty tough customer, but he inherited his mother’s big mouth and is a constant chatter box. It makes hunting with him....difficult??? A few weeks back we almost closed the deal on his first buck, but deer at 40 yds don’t really like hearing “can I shoot him daddy”.

Yesterday I setup a little ground blind complex big enough for little and big brother, dad, chairs, guns ,iPads, transistor radios, kitchen sinks, etc. Wind was perfect and everything felt right to scare the crap out a doe at least.

About 730, boss ma’am and her two kidlet’s came to eat 13-14 lbs of corn on the buffet. Mom was beyond nervous and Wasn’t having anything to do with it. Good thing the kiddos hung around, as the little buck from a few weeks ago made an appearance. He could not have performed better for us to get a shot. Broadside at 55yds for what seemed like forever. Little brother made him pay for his transgressions.

It was a perfect little shot, the deer didn’t go but 75 yds, but of course it ran into the most ungodly briar thicket around. Big brother got in on the bloodying up action and fun was had by all.

He might only score 20”, but one little 5 year old boy was just as happy as a monster.
