Default Ken Burns Documentary on Country Music

Episode 1 aired last night on PBS. Pretty cool. I forget how many segments there are in this one. Comes on at 8:00

If you are at all a fan of real country music, they are in a pretty great stretch right now. The last couple of episodes have been great.

I caught some of it Sunday night, Merle, Charley Pride, Dolly and a few more. Set it to record series.

Thought the same Cooney. That cat is a genius. What he gave up to be a janitor at a recording studio in hopes of making it.

Last night was good to. I never realized how fine mama Judd was in her younger days.

Naomi Judd was a hammer, no doubt. Wynonna, well, she isn't. Wynonna has a daughter who was a big Meth Dealer IIRC..

I enjoyed the segment on Gram Parsons, I suspect that he also influenced the Stones through his friendship with Keith Richards. Unfortunately, he let his life get way out of hand.
