Obviously others have better luck than me but my experience on Marion has been that the Alligators are pressured pretty hard and thus act accordingly. Most of the alligators we went after would move underwater after they went down. Followed one’s bubble trail in shallow water one time as he moved over 100 yards from where he went down. So most of the time for us the Alligators on Marion were very good at slipping away ie moving underwater until they would pop up in some weeds or behind an island, someplace where you couldn’t see them anymore. Also there is a lot of good structure in Marion to hang a snatch hook on.

Never really grasp how long these things are until they’re hung up.
