    Except they were incorrect with regards to the Savannah River stripers making it to the Atlantic Ocean and migrating out to open water.

    Stripers from NE North Carolina to New England live this life, but biologists agree the Cape Fear River fish and every other river on the east coast south of that migrate from the headwaters in the summer to the salt line in the winter, stay in their own tributary, and are genetically different from one another.
