He should hire a personal injury attorney licensed in SC. The best choice depends on where in SC it occurred.

If a man is alone in the woods, says something, and a woman does not hear, is he still wrong?

Common sense is not a gift. It's a punishment because you have to deal with everyone else who doesn't have it.

everyone should appreciate how different people are. Our esteemed Counsel sees the error in the hanging of the sign. Others couldnt imagine dealing with a personal injury lawyer. Others bump into shit and dont even realize they COULD sue anyone.
Liberals and conservatives are just born different.
and NO I'm not picking on anyone here. Its just a good life lesson for all.
I, for one, could not imagine hiring a lawyer for this...and no matter how much yall think I'm an asshole, I dont even return an undercooked steak. I dont call help lines and have never returned a single thing to Cabelas.
Ugh. Stupid people piss me off.
What if it is overcooked?

When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home. -Tecumseh-
These cases are all fact-dependent. I think we all expect to endure trivial inconveniences, even minor, fleeting injuries as part of life. But I don't think anyone signs up to be permanently injured while getting coffee at a hotel from a sign that falls from the ceiling when your head grazes it. In that regard, the insurance company's reason for denying the claim is what I think lawyers would call, "utter bullshit." Whether it's worth pursuing with a lawyer I think depends on what the injuries actually are. If it's permanent nerve damage, it's definitely worth it. Think about this: would you be willing to permanently alter your lifestyle (not play catch with the your boy, not hunt the way you want to, etc.) due to someone else's negligence and just let it go? Some people might, but most reasonable people would not.
Fuck people that sue for shit like this and the attorney that takes the case.
some truth there...
Ugh. Stupid people piss me off.
