Trumpet Vine
This overhang on the side of the house has been bothering me for a while.
So I told my wife I would address it when it cools down a little.
I’m going to tear down all the old wood and cut down whatever ridiculous vine is growing there now.
My vision is a vine that will creep up the lattice and over the top to shade the entire area. I want a thick wall, with a flowering hummingbird attractant. Trumpet creeper is just that, but I don’t know much about it other than it growing on roadside ditches.
Has anyone ever planted and manicured it for a garden setting? If so, is it worth doing or an absolute nightmare that I should never mention again?

Be proactive about improving public waterfowl habitat in South Carolina. It's not going to happen by itself, and our help is needed. We have the potential to winter thousands of waterfowl on public grounds if we fight for it.
