What is the desirable aspect of vallisneria? Do they eat the foliage itself or does it put off seed?
They literally eat every portion of the plant.
Divers really like to dig up the roots, while puddlers will break off portions of the leaves/stems and eat them.
All ducks love the invertebrates and fry that congregate in the thicker stands.
