    Default Flashboard riser

Agridrain inline or is there a better alternative?

I am using clemson leveler method but ready to go to some type of flash board riser.

Added note: Fresh water system, no brackish or salt water

My agridrain worked for about 6 months until the beavers stopped it up. Ain't been a drop of water through it in 10-15 years.

So what's the legalities on pit blinds in SC?

I have read the laws over and over but they confuse me. When I seen them on their site it got me thinking...

How bad is the seepage on the Osceola machine? Do yall silicone board joints? Steel construction? If so any rust problems or upkeep to look forward to?

if the issue has not been resolved after 15 years, its either a non issue or a laziness issue

If you're using them in lowcountry waters, and want a flashboard riser unit that will last, pony up the money for aluminum - not steel or aluminized steel. My father did our original duck pond (Waccamaw River floodplain) using a bituminous coated steel riser and pipe. It rusted out within five years. We replaced it with an aluminum flashboard riser in 1981. Created a second impoundment in 1995 using another aluminum riser. Both are still in excellent shape with no sign of deterioration.

Make sure you buy good boards. The normal pine boards are shit. Get you some ash or something harder if you can...

Aluminum sounds good but is the juice worth the squeeze for me? I have no brackish or salt water issue.

The two Osceola rise boards I bought took forever to bang the pipe on. We eventually got it on, but it took a while.

Not planning on using their flash boards again when we get a couple more.

What are you going with next? How are they holding up and operating even though they were aggravating to install.
