    Default Dove Club problems

In a club with about 25 others. Two years ago the man that run the club was killed in a tractor accident. I new then we were really going to miss him. His son took over, last year. We had a little brown top millet last year, had a fair shoot opening day and that was it. Couldn't get him to top sow wheat for the late season he drilled a little. This year all he had was the little bit of wheat he planted last winter. when by the field several times this summer nothing but weeds. So he bush hogs the field of weeds. I text him, oh we got birds he says. Get a test today, Game wardens been by. Somebody has sowed wheat and the field is closed for 10 days. No opening day but we can hunt later in the season. I call BS he got 25 people that expected him to plant crops to attract doves. A he made no effort an this is his out. An he's trying to sale us on next year already. I'm out some money but I'm pissed because me and the boys have no place to hunt opening day.

There are two ways things get done right:
    1) Do them yourself
    2) Supervise with consequences
Them that don't know him won't like him, and them that do sometimes won't know how to take him

He ain't wrong, he's just different, and his pride won't let him do things to make you think he's right

That is shocking to me that the game warden would shut the field down before you shot. Figured he would let you shoot then come in and write tickets then shut it down. All of the bait has to be gone then the 10 day clock starts. So he is going to have to disk the field under to get rid of the bait. If there is nothing else planted and he disks it under. You might as well get your money back.

I went on an opener years back near Lake City, I shot the lone bird i saw.. then the game wardens rolled in, they made us stop shooting. They claimed the field was baited, no evidence of it, after the owners argued with them, the wardens said we could shoot it the next day.

If you paid some cat for a dove club membership and he didn't plant anything, tell the motha fuker to give you your money back. If he refuses, snatch a knot in his ass or fuck some of his shit up. That is ridiculous. That's theft!

what does one pay for a "dove club"? I have no idea but I am entertaining the idea of buying a field
    and playing with it

Did you not have some kind of written lease agreement that specified what said landowners or whomever the son is would be doing to prepare a dove field?
