    Default Don't like hunting alone

Recently moved up from N Florida, not a big fan of hunting alone - been in enough sticky situations over the years to know having a couple buds you can count on can actually save your life once in a while.

Living in Lexington, have boat, decoys etc. Don't mind driving or whatever. Not looking to take your spots, hell you can watch me hit or miss while I learn the area and laugh if ya want. Just hoping to make some like-minded friends and hunting partners up here, all my friends and fam are back down in FL. Mostly hunted waterfowl down home, also hog, some deer and turkey when the opportunity was available. Always hunted public, will be looking for a club to join up here for next year and beyond.

Jacksonville - Grew up at the beaches (Fletcher '92), hunted all over the intracoastal, Guana (was my backyard hole till they made it a quota), prolly the same small lakes near Starke etc too. Yearly trips down to the STAs and Merritt, yadda yadda. Woodies over by the.. well hell you know where I was, closer to your place than mine if you were in OP.

Hell yeah, welcome to the Carolinas. You will have to weed out the Duck Commanders and get in touch with Kayakkillingshots on this site. He will be glad to have a new gun in the swamp.

If you moved from FL to Lexington SC to find some good duck hunting, boy are you in for a surprise.

Further North in the same flyway... used to bitching about crummy years, yahoos skyblasting, lights as bright as the sun itself and the instagrammers... Not expecting much different here, but I'll be out there just the same

Same flyway dont mean that much. Vegetation/ food is the limiting factor. SC has done a fine job of killing every SAV in damn near every body of water. You will see soon enough.

When I hunt alone, I prefer to be by myself...

ETA: and yea duck hunting stinks in this state. All we have is wood ducks and mergansers.
