1ft3 per .8 bushels shelled corn.

    ETA- I use (L x W x H)(45lbs/ft3)/56lbs/bu

    40in/12in/ft=3.3ft 48in/12in/ft=4ft 46in/12in/ft=3.83ft

    3.3ft x 4ft x 3.83ft=50.556ft3

    50.556ft3x45lbs/ft3=2,275.02lbs

    2,275.02lbs/56lbs/bu=40.63bu

    Those two don't match.

That would be 384 gallons based on those dimensions

I edited it to add 384. 382 is probably more accurate. That's using that there are 231 square inches in a gallon. I used 230 the first time.

    (40 x 48 x 46)/231

If you go with 275 gallons, then I come up with 29 bushels.

231 square inches in a gallon
    x 275 gallons
    = 63525 square inches
/ 1728 (to convert to sq ft)
    =36.76 sq ft
x .8 (mobetter's conversion for how many bushells are in a sq ft)
    = 29.4

You sure those dimensions don’t include the cage?
