    Default Leupold scopes

Does anyone on here use a firedot reticle? I'm looking at purchasing a new scope and have had my eye on these? I picked up one last week at sportsmans warehouse to look through. It was a patrol scope, which I'm not looking for. It had a green dot. Looked a little odd. Are the red dots in the HD 5 any finer? I have a scar near my pupil and when the sun starts setting and my eyes dilate, it gets a little hard to see the fine cross hairs..not to mention I'm getting older.
    The price is firm.

fire dot works good. Also look at heavy duplex or no4 reticle. I have a no 4 in my 1.5-5 that's on top of my 45/70. great at low light

My buddy just got an hd5 3-15x44 with the firedot duplex and I like it so much I’m fixing to order one myself.

I just bought a leupold 3x9x50 with the firedot.
Played with it in the yard at lowlight and am looking forward to hunting with it

I have VX5s. The dot is small and brightness is adjustable.

Leupold has one of the best illuminated reticles out there as you can dim it way down. Some others stay too bright for low light conditions.

I also run the 3-15x44 with the Firedot duplex and I love it.
