Noticed my Sesbania getting the chit eatin out of it....my first encounter with these weevils. Y’all see them often? Apparently they only eat Sesbania. The larve eat da roots while the adults eat the rest. Amazing how much they are eating per week.

I hope they eat every plant. That plant definitely was sent here by the devil

Devil sent a friend, wellllll, maybe.
Don’t want to kill ‘em....want them to eat every Sesbania plant they can.
Send em my way....

Come get you some Scott. Easy pickens
Catch a couple for me and hold them in a tiny cage.. I'm going to try to force feed them pigweed until they like it and then genetically pass on the trait.

Ugh. Stupid people piss me off.
I could use some of those little bastards.
Be proactive about improving public waterfowl habitat in South Carolina. It's not going to happen by itself, and our help is needed. We have the potential to winter thousands of waterfowl on public grounds if we fight for it.
Damn, looks like they are doing work
Where can I buy some? We put fire to some pines two winters ago and the sesbania is now out of control. Apparently it likes some fire.

I have been noticing a lot more sesbania the past few years, especially in ditches and DOT ROWs. I hate that shit. I have figured out that if you kill or cut it while young it seems to hold it back pretty good.

One year, many years back, I flooded 5 acres of Sesbania in a pond next to the Wright River. We shot 4 guns and took 4 limits of teal every Saturday for the entire season that year. Occasionally, a summer duck would drop into the oaks in the back, but teal were the only thing that came in to that pond that year. I would love to have another year like that.
The only good thing about my imperfections is the joy they bring my friends.
Beware the man with one gun...he probably has other faults also.
