I guess my question was a little too simple. He stated he drained it, but didn’t mention if any permanent water/flood control was installed or not. Also no mention of a well so I was wondering what the plans were.

I dug out two cuts in the dam at the lowest point, once it drained I put in two pipes with 90 degree elbows facing with a cage around it and filled back in. When time comes I just stick a 3 foot piece of pipe in each elbow and the water will rise above the elbows to the top of the pipe. And yes that’s the point where god comes in

    Great work and great vision.

I'm really missing out on a major aspect of duck hunting.

What are y'all planning? I do not think fencing in our deal is an option. Shooting them out does not work. Our spot is up amongst pig Haven. It is a bummer.

Got a nice variety of food for them. Plugged it up and started catching water last week

Holding a few but not what it has in past. Haven’t hunted it much due to warm weather. Push them out they may not come back. Headed to AR for remainder so I’ll probably bait shit out of it and let them have it

Nice. I got access to a private beaver swamp that needs a Clemson leveler and get to work.

Delta in a nutshell: Breeding grounds + small wetlands + big blocks of grass cover + predator removal + nesting structures + enough money to do the job= plenty of ducks to keep everyone smiling!

No migration. Killed two bands out of it and both came from Canada. What few are in there I’m sure are probably local birds. If you shoot them in warm weather they won’t come back as well. Cold weather there hungry and will come back. Also a lot of water around so they have options
