Do not care WHO you pull for this guy was the BEST EVER on the mic, not a UGA fan but I would tune them in just to listen to Larry Munson

Hob-nailed boots are rad.
I remember riding home from Clemson games in the 80's listening to him call games because one of the only stations we could get on the radio between Anderson and home was a Georgia affiliate. One of the greatest......
He was second only to Jesse Palmer.
106.1 is the affiliate around the upstate now. I pick it up better down around Abbeville and McCormick than I do Anderson. I remember listening to Larry when i was real young on the way home from deer hunting with my dad and brother. I didnt really realize how good I had it until I started having to listen to Scott Howard every weekend.
Edit: I dont hate SH, I just think he gets too excited about things that you shouldn't get that excited about from time to time, if that makes sense.

I will listen to nascar en espanol before I will listen to that horrible shit.
I met him once after a game. We had just beat Tennessee in Athens for the first time in forever. (This was back when UT had Peyton, Jamal Lewis, Travis, Henry, etc)
I'll never forget what he said to me....
"help me find my fucking car"
Munson was great. We would mute the tv and let him call it.
You just sent some memories at me that I had honestly forgotten about. I remember my mom and dad doing this a handful of times when I was younger. Larry's health obviously went down hill and it did about the time I started to remember UGA football games and his calls. I was probably 10-11.
Munson was very good, second only to Jim Phillips.
Munson > Phillips.
The memories of listening to Munson on a truck radio under some shade trees before the birds started flying.
I agree. Munson is the best announcer that I have personally ever heard. The combination of Herschel running the ball and Munson calling it was a beautiful thing.
Crops are harvested, animals are killed.
The fact you have fans of other teams that agree about Munson speaks volumes.
Saturday afternoons in the Fall in Georgia meant doves and a little radio tuned to WSB listening to Munson call the game. He was awesome.
F**K Cancer
Just Damn.
