I just watched my resident deckmunk smoke and eat an anole. He has been hell on luna moths lately. I need to train him to eat more spiders and to quit squirreling sunflower seeds under the cushions...

Wish you had video of that.

Hunting outside the box
Never underestimate the power of a chipmunk.
I’ve always wanted to trap a bunch and turn em loose around my house.
Be proactive about improving public waterfowl habitat in South Carolina. It's not going to happen by itself, and our help is needed. We have the potential to winter thousands of waterfowl on public grounds if we fight for it.
I don’t know. I have seen them as far south as the Woodruff exit on 26, but would assume Spartanburg county to be the end of their range.

I have some that I enjoy watching while deer hunting. They run around my stand all the time and are pretty neat creatures.

There is a pile of them in southwestern York county. Never really seen any south of there.

There are some off of Jalapa exit in Newberry.
I have one living in my yard in Greenville. Cool creature for sure.
I’ve got two deer stands with ground squirrels all around them in southern Greenville county. Cool critters for sure. They’re entertaining to watch when things are slow. I’ve always assumed they were everywhere.
I had no clue the chipmunks weren’t all over the southeast.
We had one under our porch, haven’t seen him since we took out the bushes in the front of the house.
They are fun to hunt with potato cannons.
Only one I ever saw was just north/west of Chester. Still wasn't 100% sure it was a chipmunk but from reading these posts it makes me a little more confident that it was.
Everyone doesn’t have chipmunks???
They’ll warn every critter in the woods that you’re around when you’re hunting. Aggravating little shits.
I have never seen one East of Chester but have seen 2 ground hogs in Lancaster County the past year. Both have roughly the same range. We have fox squirrels 1 mike away from my property hopefully they keep expanding.
