what's scary is yall dont get what he is saying....bc you get so mixed up in his delivery.
he makes some good points. he is saying we are all slaves to the man but the man is a different entity now.
Ugh. Stupid people piss me off.
No he does not. Some voluntary make themselves slaves to things. Slaves did not receive bonuses, 4 weeks vacation, 10 holidays and sick days, paid overtime, equal opportunity, equal pay, etc.
The greatest human flaw we have of greed can make us slaves to anything but the slaves were not guilt of that only the slave owners.
The message should be what greed does to people, exhibit A: slave owners, then down the line.

Mollies Master did not offend me in any way-usually it's the slacker that makes that comment and he doesn't seem like one. Like the $15/hour minimum wage people. They think all business owners are rich.
Regardless of wages and benefits- getting dedicated, motivated, reliable employees seems like a search for a unicorn in a haystack. I once worked for the man and gave it my all, I was rewarded properly for my efforts but also saw that I would never get where I wanted to be in life without being the man.
There are bad employers- plenty of them, I'm not one. If you are employed by a bad employer- seek work elsewhere because it won't change.
Due to todays job market conditions, employees know they can get by with many things that should lead to termination- there simply is no one to replace them.
When I run a help wanted ad I will get countless applicants, perform phone interviews, schedule in person interviews and only 2 out of 100 will even show up for the in person interview, and if hired only 50% will actually show up and start as scheduled.
Just fired a new hire Monday- interviews well, drug and background check passed, previous employer gave excellent remarks, shows up on time every day week 1 and does great, week 2 no show- no call or text, week 3 just shows up on Monday morning like he never missed a day- counselled and went back over policy for calling out, worked great all week. Week 4- no show no call again. Week 5- just shows up on Monday again- his excuse was that something came up- he gone.
For my industry- I pay top pay and benefits, people rarely quit-I have almost zero turnover.
I need good people, I am overloaded with great work, I have used every type of employment help there is with the same results- Craigslist, Indeed, Zip recruiter etc, spending $2k to find 1 person really sucks.
Maybe the gorilla is right- where's my whip.
What kind of work do you do Bad Habit?
Low country redneck who moved north
Unemployment is below 3% in SC. To hire good people right now you have to offer more than the competition whether in wages, quality of life, job satisfaction , and benefits, or a combination of the above. The old model of “just be happy you have a job” doesn’t fly anymore.
The other big issue our communities are facing is the education model. Most all high schools are geared towards college prep, as many high schools graduates can’t read a tape, change a tire, or do simple fractions. Technical high schools and work force development will separate the winners and losers over the next decade.
On the flip side, we could end up with a socialist president in the next cycle and the workforce shortage will be fixed by a lousy economy and high unemployment. It always goes in cycles.
Eh ... 'exactly' right isn't what I would call it. Some vague similarities, yes. Even if I had the most remedial job on earth, something along the lines of digging ditches for minimum wage, living off food stamps and in government housing, etc. I can say with confidence my life would be better than a slaves life. Hell, even the welfare plantation has free will, they can, and some do, get out of that life and I guarantee it's easier to do than a slave back in the 1800's in the US/ancient Egypt/French Colonies/etc.
With that said, he never once mentioned the welfare plantation, he said corporations. Like I said, vague/broad similarities, yes, 'exactly right' ... no way in hell.
Yeah I'm with you Hagen.
Y'all sound like Mergie trying to explain the latest Q drop on this one.
