Build the wall and make Africa pay for it !!
"I HAVE A BAD FEELING ABOUT THIS ONE"
there. we got us a reel hurricane watch thread now.
Good Morning,
Two features currently being peddled by the National Hurricane Center. 95L , north of the Dominican Republic and Haiti is a winky-blinky herd of diurnal convection that has been soaking the Greater and Lesser Antilles for the last three days. Not an iota of organization as this underwhelming feature drifts west-northwest at 8-10 mph. NHC gives 95L a 10% chance of becoming a tropical cyclone during the next 5 days. Curiously, the models are in good agreement with 95L not becoming a tropical cyclone this year. 95L is likely going to be a coastal rain event for the State this weekend.
Farther east a more organized wave tracks west at 15 mph. This yet to be named feature has maintained a closer gaggleplex of convection since rolling of the coast of Africa. The models have been in decent agreement developing this into a tropical cyclone near the Bahamas by Thursday or Friday of next week. Still time for that bread and milk run. The European ECMWF model and the US GFS model are eerily similar taking no name on a recurving track 350 miles east of happy Parris Island next weekend. Until then, steady as she goes. Maintain course and speed.

gaggleplex? Who knew hurricane lingo was so rad?!?!
Thanks PB
Ugh. Stupid people piss me off.
All that to say, eyeaino.
Mark Malsick puts out regular tropical storm emails that aren't strictly dry, boring meteorologist talk. It's worth the read to get on his email broadcast list. One of his sayings that is my favorite is when he describes a possible storm as being "as organized as a bag of badgers and broken glass".
You know Mark is serious when there's not a joke or creative turn of phrase in his description or prediction. I don't worry until he shows no humor.
He has a very witty sense of humor

Seriously assholes. I'm packing to head to the outer Banks. I don't need these negative waves.
Nearly two weeks out, expected to recurve NNW before the east coast.. hopefully that recurve holds true. Enjoy your trip, take milk and bread and beer just in case.

Sounds like it might rain. Then again it might not. I love when these morons make predictions on the amount of hurricanes for the season then submit a revised guess in Sept. I here they want to name thunderstorms now. Come on.
gaggleplex!

Guess I won’t get to fish next weekend either.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.
You might take out a dozen before they drag you from your home and skull fuck you to death. Marsh Chicken 6/21/2013
