Makes sense. I doubt they are sending high quality across cell data.

Spypoint support over the phone ain’t great in my opinion. Unless you’re prepared to wait on hold for a while to get someone speaking a French/Canadian accent. I’ve had better luck with their support chat on their app
"They are who we thought they were"

I have a few of the link darks. Do they not transmit nighttime photos to the mobile app? Assuming it’s been taking pictures on the corn all night, and just not sending them through?

How do I upgrade the monthly photo package? I bought the $5 basic plan during turkey season and just ran over my monthly limit. Trying to upgrade lan in app but it won’t let me select another option to upgrade. Any tricks?

Also, their customer service is essentially non existent. Nobody responds to live chat, emails, or phone calls?
Anybody have a direct number or extension to bypass the BS?

Spypoint Link Micro Verizon- Day 5
*Formatted new SD card and download new firmware and installed.
*No night pictures as of yet transmitted
    *Temp is +/-10 degrees off
*110 pictures (9 deer) so far all in the morning none at night
*Camera running on new 12 volt battery w/solar panel
*4 to 5 cell service bars during the day but will drop to 2 bars maybe 3 at night, first out night 1 bar.
I know it has to be deer out at night, but I have not seen 1 picture transmitted at night.

Mine works fairly well for the most part. It takes the picture most of the time at night just comes across black about 10% of the time.

I did the flash update and it is working. It only took (1) picture last night, which there should have been many. When it uploaded this morning it sent (47) pictures taken between 6:45 am and 7:01 am. Its not perfect but for 119.00 I did not expect a whole lot.

Go to their web site. It gives you the directions. Basically take the SD card out of it and download (5) files onto the card. Put the card back in and power up. Takes about 30 seconds.

Has anyone used the 12 volt system? I am thinking of switching over and was wondering if the kit below would work for the spypoint.

I ran the spypoint side by side with a browning Strike force for a week.

Each camera missed one deer. And these came in on the same side as the camera that got it, so they might not have stepped into range of the other camera. The pictures aren't as sharp on the spypoint, but the browning takes really nice pictures. The trigger is a little slower on the spypoint as well. But all of my pictures were sent to me. I had good cell service (4-5 bars) and have the camera set to send pictures every couple of hours. I was taking one picture with a 1 minute delay.

Overall for a cellular camera I definitely think it's worth the price. Now that I trust it, I moved it to a remote spot in the swamp. It's on a trail, but it's looking down the trail, so I don't think trigger speed will be an issue.
