Lion King was the last movie my wife saw with her dad as a family, before he died when she was 6 years old. We are going to take the kids, and her mom and siblings will be coming. I love going to the theatre!

Relentless, you had to go an bring nostalgia and sentimental value to an otherwise useless rambling thread .... Will probably be a special trip to the theater for the wife; enjoy.

That just reminded me that Lion King was the only movie I ever saw in a theater with my dad. He, my mom, my little sister, and I all went when I was a kid. I remember thinking how cool it was that my dad got to come too. I didn't have a clue then how hard he worked and what he had to sacrifice for us to do those things.

Wife and I are headed to Disney in 3 weeks. Can't wait.

I saw the first one in the theater on a date. Won’t watch the reboot unless the kids ask to go see it.

I’d just bitch about how they ruined it and how the original was better. And they probably made Poombah and Timone gay lovers or something. It would just piss me off.

I'm not going to a theater to see any movie. You people are rude, talk too much, chew with your mouths open and your kids are ill mannered little snots that kick peoples chairs.

Why would I waste money going someplace I know I'm going to get annoyed when I can stay home and see the same movie in 3 months for 1/4 of the price?

Oh. And I agree with Feets. Get some imagination and make a new movie instead of recycling old ones.

    Don't mistake honest for grumpy.

I stay home to avoid grumpy.

    Ergo, I'm happy.

Took my 3 yr old daughter. She enjoyed it. A little young for the “real life” version but she got it and enjoy.

That’s all that mattered to me.

    Grumpy old man......

Took my 2 four year old grandkids. We had fun. Doubt seeing the lion King is going to turn them into little snow flakes anymore than watching ninja turtles is going to turn them into super hero's. Pretty sure shooting turtles and frogs with their bb guns, going on turkey, squirrel, dove and duck hunts and watching Popa clean pigs and deer will let them see the real circle of life.
