Waffle House and of all places shitty Sue's on 81 have the best patty melts. Well Sue's does if the numbnuts are capable of getting an order correct on that particular day.

My wife likes to go to Pot Belly Deli every time she is in town. It is a breakfast bagels, or sandwich and chips shop.
I like to go to the Esso. It has an above average meat and 3. It is my favorite atmosphere.
The Walhalla steak house is 30+ minutes away and only open Thursday-Sunday, but it is an amazing meat and 3.
Mac's diner is a small throwback burger joint that serves good burgers, patty melts, and hamburger steaks. It is a common joke to never order a milkshake because it pisses off the servers.
Paw's diner just shut down for owner health reasons.

Pot Belly Deli - Dagwood was always my hangover sandwich. Stopped through there earlier in the summer and grabbed one for the road. Not much has changed in 20 years.

The "Mac's" he references above is NOT Mack Smith's so don't fuck it up and go to Mac's......

Paws is permanently closed which really sucks but my favorite places in town are Loose Change (downtown) and Sardi's Den/Goober's (across from where BILO was before it closed on Old Greenville Highway).
