I bought one for South Carolina before I moved to North Carolina ... then I bought a NC lifetime license once I had residency.

    Thanks.
It's not enough to simply tolerate the 2nd Amendment as an antiquated inconvenience. Caring for the 2nd Amendment means fighting to restore long lost rights.

    I did the same.

My only complaint is that they send you that dumbass paper license like they do for every other license.......Should make it like the CWP license.

If you plan to buy a lifetime license, why should you wait until your last year? Just to give the state more license fees? I understand the benefit of being counted for more federal taxes back to the state but the math of waiting until you're about to get a free license escapes me.

It's politician math. Try to keep up. Maybe us commoners aren't smart enough to comprehend this logic, but trust them, its for our own good.

Dropped $800 for mine at age 35. I ain't goin nowhere. Opted for the saltwater and duck stamp add on. I did the math at current rates as well and it worked out. Plus the licenses aren't getting any cheaper.

Got the lifetime for my son before he was 2 while it was super cheap. Wife suggested I not get one for my daughter until we figured out if she would even want to go. And the daughter is the one that wants to go with me all the time. My son is hit or miss on hunting. He would rather go fishing.

Delta in a nutshell: Breeding grounds + small wetlands + big blocks of grass cover + predator removal + nesting structures + enough money to do the job= plenty of ducks to keep everyone smiling!

I wish they would provide something like that as well!

I've bought them as baby presents for friends. It's one of the few gifts I've ever given that I was thanked for multiple times over the years.

I bought both of my boy's lifetime licenses when they were 15 years old.
I know I could have paid $100 less if I had bought it when they were under age 2- but that's OK.

The biggest benefit that I see for the Lifetime-- if they move away when they get older, there will be nothing to prevent them from hunting/fishing should they come and visit as a non-resident.

How does that work with the hunter education requirements?

With a Lifetime Combination license, do you still need:
    WMA permit to hunt public?
Migratory Bird permit for ducks and doves?

Yes to both of those and federal duck stamp.

You can order a hard card for I think 8 more bucks if you are looking to give one as a gift. My wife’s grandfather got one for my son last year on his first birthday. Just select the hard card when filling out the paper work. It will come in the mail separate from the paper license. I figured it would be much easier to hold onto for 15 years than a piece of paper.
