I honestly have no desire to shoot one. They are hell on his corn crop

Sheesh. That will bruin your deer hunting.

I had someone on here the other day ask about coming up to shoot a bear. I was happy to tell him that they were somewhat scarce this year. Next day I talk to one of our residents and he was sitting on his porch the day before waiting on the sunset and had a full grown one climb a tree 3 feet from his deck rail to come check him out.

This property is one of the largest hog operations in NC and is under a ton of
scrutiny and legal expense due to the folks that moved here from Ohio and bought
property near by and are offended by it.

Wonder if bacon and pork chops are offensive to the invaders?

It a real shame. This is a 4th generation hog farm. Thousands of acres.
Problem is that its 20 minutes from the ocean. Very high tech operation,
if you pass thru the gate, you hit the shower at the gate and wear scrubs and mask, footsies and get sprayed
with some purple crap. Just like going into an operating room. State of the art systems for waste disposal, etc.
My 84 yr old uncle is in Raleigh several days a week fighting this crap

Those same new resident probably still love bacon. They just want it produced in somebody else's backyard, just like the eco-nuts who don't want oil exploration off our coast but still love to drive their cars and buy cheap gas.

I grew up in NC and dearly love what it once was but with the rif raf that has moved in and started making changes I have no desire to ever go back and mark my words it is already happening here in SC. It's a damn shame.

I would have no problem driving E a little ways to help defend his corn!

What town is this in? We’ve got two biogas projects going in NC, processing the methane from lagoons into natural gas. Finishing one in Kenansville, about halfway thru one in Tar Heel and about to start another in Wallace. There are some big incentives to cover the lagoons and process the methane. It cuts the smell by about 70-80 percent and they can sell the gas.

I’d love to sling an arrow into one of those grown peanut eating rascals.
