A metal detector could help find it...if the water isn't too deep.

Crops are harvested, animals are killed.
Just a few ideas

Were you past jody's place? In that straightaway? Or did you make the hard 90 going left to where it gets skinny?
If I was closer I would do it just to meet the infamous BADASS DRDUCK.
another option, I bet you have an empty propane tank don't you?
I think this would work

Yea, bring your ass on down.
Gettin old is for pussies! AND MY NEW TRUE people say like Capt. Tom >>>>>>>>>/
"Wow, often imitated but never duplicated. No one can do it like the master. My hat is off to you DRDUCK!"
I have scuba gear and an underwater metal detector. The problem is I do not have any tanks that will work and I am currently boat-less. I have done this sort of stuff before, it’s amazing what you can find but it’s never what you are looking for.
in all seriousness, take the boat up to a weld shop and they can just tack you additional
aluminum plate where the missing piece is and then you can cut it or take a grinder
and shape it. Probably all for $100
They could also tack a small skeg under it that would look and act as the steering trim tab anode did.
Paint it white and go hit some more stumps and rocks, rinse and repeat

Maybe the Navy would let you borrow one of their trained sea lions or dolphins? They do this kind of stuff all the time. That or a big magnet.
The dolphin thing is real. It's not in the Land of Make Believe.
What does the dolphin say?
Or Tics?
