Most of the states who have had cwd issues have never allowed baiting. If it’s gonna come it’s gonna come

I bet the hunters in the states who have confirmed it, wish they would have been more proactive in slowing it down. If it means making some changes so that my kids or grandkids don’t have to deal with it or at least not have to worry about as high as 1:2 deer having it, then I’ll all in. To sit back and do nothing is grossly irresponsible as stewards in my opinion.

It’s hard to believe there are a few dumbasses on here that are more worried about baiting than about the possibility of this disease showing up in our state. Should it make its way here the results and implications will be horrendous. If there is a possibility, even a remote possibility, that baiting and/or food plots may be a problem then we should stop that without question. It’s damn near impossible to believe there are people so hardheaded and selfish here they are not willing to take whatever measures are necessary to prevent this disease from occurring!

    Let’s ban scents

But let the bozos in other states raise them pen deer and transport them all over.

Lots of cwd cases in other states occur near deer pens

I somehow missed this thread and just saw an email which I read and learned myself on the matter. Interesting.

Delta in a nutshell: Breeding grounds + small wetlands + big blocks of grass cover + predator removal + nesting structures + enough money to do the job= plenty of ducks to keep everyone smiling!

    Yup, he's crazy...

like a fox. The dude may be coming in a little too hard and crazy but 90% of everything he says is correct.

Sort of like Toof. But way smarter.

I don’t. Still no way to test for it while the animals are alive. Developing a test such as the one they describe takes years. Not months or weeks.

I’d be skeptical until someone without a lot of money to gain/lose verifies it.

What I’ve found has been two main companies who paid for the studies. I have a lot of doubt in the studies due to the two companies that financed it. Tinks and Wildlife Research. I wasn’t sure if you had any links to independent studies that yield the same results.

    https://www.cwdfacts.org/

This website is really biased and is funded by two of the largest scent producers on the market.

    http://cwd-info.org/

I have found this website to be less biased.

But I think many of those also allow deer farming.
