Have a blast! I don't really have any awesome tips, but I will say I have some very good memories of the 2 weeks I spent in Kenya. I must say though, I've never met nicer folks (as a collective whole) in my life.

I wouldn’t worry too much, State Dept. Travel Advisory lists it as threat level yellow, “Excercise Increased Caution”. Other countries in this category include, the UK, almost all of WESTERN Europe, and China. You’ll probably be safer there than you would be if you stumbled into the wrong part of Chicago. Enjoy yourself.

Attacks against South Africa’s white farmers are on the rise with some victims being tortured with electric drills, blowtorches and bleach, according to reports.

Research by Afriforum, a group which champions the rights of the country’s Afrikaner minority, released earlier this year said assaults on the farms shot up 25 percent last year.
