    Default Lab's Health

I have a 2 year old black lab that I took to kennel while my family went on vacation. I picked him up from the kennel last Saturday and his voice was horse and his left lymph node was swollen. I get the voice part, as he was probably barking a lot. Fast forward to today and his voice is slowly coming back but his lymph nodes (node) have been swollen (like ping pong ball size). I gave him Benadryl earlier last week a couple times and it seemed to help but the lymph node is swollen again this morning. He doesn't seem like it is bothering him at all, energy wise and his appetite is normal as is his bathroom visits. Is this something to be alarmed about?

That’d be a waste of time, he can take it to KRT and get a loaner while it’s getting fixed.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

Is that akin to being fenestrated?

I understand dogs have multiple lymph nodes but the swollen lymph nodes I am speaking of is under his jaw on his upper neck. His teeth look normal to me, no crazy redness or discoloration of gums and he gets checked for ticks pretty regularly. My concern is if he has some sort of infection making them swollen. I get that dogs have strong immune systems just trying to get an opinion from the smart asses on here first. Appreciate the comments

Door? I'm trying to fund a travel ball level hunting habit. The door isn't a priority.

All y'all's animals are deathly ill and in need of immediate and expensive therapy or else you hate dogs and America.

Took the boy to the vet, did blood work and aspirated one of his swollen lymph nodes under his jaw. Blood work came back fine, doc said she saw some bacteria but no infection in the lymph node. So he got started on some antibiotics for about a week or so.

I'd wait and just call the emergency line middle of the day on the 4th. Probably less busy then
