    You people kill me.

You'd rather sweat to death than watch brown leaves fall into the creek from a stiff october breeze? Watch the squirrels gather acorns on the ground while sitting in your favorite deer stand? Tell me how a game of golf in 90+ degrees is better than any winter afternoon of shooting migrating doves? You grass sniffers have obviously never smelled the crisp air of the pre-dawn heading into a wood duck swamp when the stars are out and the moon light is just bright enough to show your breath.

In order of greatest to least, I can assure you that summer in South Carolina is last fiddle.

I hate summer in SC more every year. Fuck the humidity. I am so tired of sweating every time I step outside. There are only two things that summer has that the rest of the year doesn’t, billfish and sweet corn. Everything is better in fall and winter.

I would counter with sitting on the dock at Pawleys, catching whatever is biting on a hot summers day to feed the crowd that will show up once everyone gets off work is pretty near perfect...

    Summer time is fishing time.

Fishing is done on the water.

Water relieves any heat issues by simply getting in it.
Be proactive about improving public waterfowl habitat in South Carolina. It's not going to happen by itself, and our help is needed. We have the potential to winter thousands of waterfowl on public grounds if we fight for it.

I'm taking off mid week for the lake, I'll be assuming my "camp counselor" position.. I kinda wish my kids would take on a tad more, but I don't want them growing up any faster than they already are.

You can forget it jab, not even Ruark could paint a summer that was worth enduring.

My health is better in November.

I like 90 degree golf days. The weak stay indoors, so the course is wide open.

    Summertime is mighty fine.

We would have eaten mudfish back then. Beach people don't get rich by paying dipshits from Columbia any kind of money...

Balls fly farther also, I can get out and fly around our course most days this time of year.

By "weak" you mean"smart" or "sensible" or "those who don't wanna stroke -out". Got it.
