    Default St. Augustine hotels??

I'd like to take the wife for a short vacation to St. Augustine. I'd like to stay in a boutique type hotel near downtown and the bay. Balconies over-looking the bay would be great. If any of yall have any suggestions, I'm all ears. We haven't been to St. Augustine in a while, but always enjoyed it.

There isn't one. At least not one that I would recommend.

Better off to go to Amelia Island. The Ritz Carlton there is top notch. Make a reservation to have dinner at Salt. It's excellent. Like 5 star excellent. It's a vacation with your wife. Do something special.

Have a buddy who lives down there now and he says look at the collector, edgewater, market 8, or bayfront marin house. He moved down there for college and never came back and is a realtor down that way.

We went Memorial Day Weekend. Stayed in an Air BNB right across from the beach. We enjoyed it

Book a bed and breakfast. That’s what the area is known for.
Living in Moncks Corner but looking forward to moving back to the West Coast in 2020 where there are more ducks and less duck hunters!! LOL

That's not quite true Andy. Amelia is certainly nice, but St. Augustine has some great spots. We live in Ponte Vedra, about 20 minutes up the road. The Collector or Casa Monica in St. Aug are both great. Try Marriott Sawgrass or Ponte Vedra Inn and Club in Ponte Vedra.
