    Default Southern Belly

Got to looking on here for some new buffet spots or maybe just barbecue around Columbia that might be open this afternoon. Saw a few recommendations for Southern Belly and it looks like they are open until this evening. Saw on their website they have a location on Rosewood and that is the place that most folks on here seemed to be talking about but when I google it, it looks like that location might have closed. Is it close, and if so, are the other locations just as good? If not, any other places to try on a Sunday afternoon around Columbia?

Southern belly is just sandwiches, not sure if that’s what you are looking for or not.
Only location I know of is 5 points.

Thanks for the heads up. Not really looking for that but I won’t rule it out.

Home team won’t disappoint. Get some wings and a game changer while you’re there

Had pretty much decided on Hometeam but this might throw a wrench in the plan.

That place isn’t worth a damn in my opinion. I’ve been there 2 times and also had it at a catered lunch. Not going back.

If you are looking for a good BBQ buffet go try Palmetto Pig on Devine St.

I am looking for a good brisket around Cootlumbia.
I can cook one as good as anyone, but its a lot of dang work to do it right.

Ended up at Home Team. Pretty good but not great. Wife got the brisket and had hash and rice on the side which she said she really liked. The brisket, just speaking from someone who was only eating it for the second time, was not all that good. I had previously eaten at the restaurant at the beach called Brisket and I'd say it was much better there. It just wasn't as tender and the fat had not been cooked down quite as much. All in all, I was satisfied. I had really started to lean towards trying the previously suggested Midwood but wife chose Home Team. Being as I had to talk into leaving the house, I figured I'd let her choose. I'll have to try Midwood another day. Thanks for the suggestions.
