Active, reserves, guard.
After rabbitman dumbass’ comments in the Iran thread I became curious to see where most of our guys served.
Former air force here.
And thanks to all our current and veteran service members here.

I can only add my thanks too.
It's not enough to simply tolerate the 2nd Amendment as an antiquated inconvenience. Caring for the 2nd Amendment means fighting to restore long lost rights.
USMC for me.
Crops are harvested, animals are killed.
Thanks to each of you who served!

My one regret is not serving when I was younger. Nothing but respect and heartfelt thanks to those of you who did or are serving.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

Marines 86 - 90. Couldn't wait to get in. Had my parents sign a waiver for me to get in before my 18th birthday. I graduated high school when I was 17. I grew up a lot in 4 years and wouldn't trade my time in for anything.

Active Duty Coast Guard currently at 17.5 years and counting.
Living in Moncks Corner but looking forward to moving back to the West Coast in 2020 where there are more ducks and less duck hunters!! LOL
I’m ashamed I didn’t serve. I used my daughter being born at 19 for my excuse, but I honestly was scared. Thanks everyone for their service.

Air Force Reserve. Enlisted after 9/11 in 2002.
Countless activations and 16+ years later I'm still here. I can easily see myself doing 25+. Hell might go 30 long as I can still pass the fit test.

Delta in a nutshell: Breeding grounds + small wetlands + big blocks of grass cover + predator removal + nesting structures + enough money to do the job= plenty of ducks to keep everyone smiling!

“… duckhunting stands alone as an outdoor discipline. It has a tang and spirit shared by no other sport—a philosophy compounded of sleet, the winnow of unseen wings, and the reeks of marsh mud and wet wool. No other sport has so many theories, legends, casehardened disciples and treasured memories.”

Like Gander, I went in at 17. Turned 18 in Basic. Good experience for a young man.
USAF 1995-2007
14 deployments, 6 continents later and it was time to go. But, when I left I made a promise to my country and myself that I would continue to support the warfighter. I have done so here in Charleston supporting AFCENT since 2007.
Duty, honor, God and country.
I served the first 13 years of my life. Born in Taiwan never stayed anywhere for more than 12-months until I was 13. It doesn't get mentioned often but kids trade some of the best parts of life when their parents serve.
