    Default Tire Shopping

Getting close to needing a new set of tires on my personal truck which sees mainly weekend use now. The past 2 (maybe even 3) times I've bought tires I've gone to the same place and bought the same tires for the same price, Cooper Discover ST Maxx 265/75/r16 for $625 (cosmetic blemish). Just curious if there's a better performing AT tire in a similar price range or up to around $750.

I had a set of the Cooper St Maxx's and am currently running Toyo R/Ts. I will be going back to the Coopers. I have yet to have figured out what the all the hype is about Toyos...

I couldn’t get those ST Maxx’s to balance on my old RAM. Nitto Ridge Grappler if you want aggressive but not quite MT. Agree with RH on the Michelin.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

I just put a set of Ridge Grapplers on. I like them far better than the BFG AT so far.

Call Baxley's Tire in Scranton, SC. Not sure where you live, but you won't find a better price on tires. Cash is king with them.

I usually just drop it off at A2Z and tell KRT I need tires. They call when it’s ready.

I have the general tire all terrains on both my truck and my wife’s and have been happy with both sets. I would replace them with the same.

I guess Nitrto has improved their compound since my last set that only got 30k with even wear.

They don’t make ridge grapplers for a 16inch rim otherwise I’d recommend those too. I replaced my bfg A/T with nitto trail grapplers on my 97 z71 and don’t regret going to a mud tire one bit. My other truck has ridge grapplers and they’re great so far.

I stick with BFG's or Michelins. I have a set of coopers on my bronco and they ride horrible. Swampers would ride better I think

I’ve been pleased with the coopers for the price but what kind of mileage should I expect out of them? I feel like i got more life out of the last set but I may be wrong

I rotate tires every time I change oil, 5K.
