I found one the other day and gave it to my son.. I mean it's probably pretty similar to others.. I was just joking because of the commercial had them at half off other balls.

I'm about to have to crawfish on my pellet grill stance. #soon
I'm tired of having to add charcoal to my Backwoods. I got better shit to be doin....
It is like driving a shift stick, an auto transmission is fine as long as you can do both.

Best purchase I’ve made for cooking in a while. I went with the pit boss. Only cooked twice on her but it’s been a great addition thus far.D8C5B142-F5B9-4A99-9579-CDEA13CE4D1B.jpg 900CBEDE-6FD1-42D6-B905-90A1B3FD5ECD.jpg66BFEB10-B53E-49D9-AE07-88AC203C4E82.jpg6D8C561D-11AA-4907-A8DE-C2240F10E65B.jpgDC80EF4E-2DEB-455E-9F7D-0BD9E8C79B1F.jpg
That looks great SCWoodrow. I'm not big on them, but you can't deny they work.
They aren't my thing, but I wouldn't turn down a plate of food prepared on one.
I understand that MH. I have a wife, 3 kids, coach baseball and have a lot of upkeep around the yard. I enjoy spending my free time with the family and in the woods, not dicking around with a grill.
Completely understandable. I'm well on my way to that lifestyle myself.
Big green egg and a digi q gets you the same product in my opinion.
I did a little crawfishing myself. Stopped to look at one on sale a little too long at Tractor Supply. I picked up a 1000 inch Pitboss on sale for $400.
It's legit if you are looking for easier. Set it and forget it. Best part is I've trained the wife on how to read the temperature and turn it off. So I can put something on, go hunting and let her check it later and pull it off.
I tried a steak on it once to see what the hype was about. I won't do that again. I've been told that if you do reverse sear method and....blah blah blah. Nope the grilling will still be done on the weber kettle. I'm confident in my skills to still be able to smoke on either of my kettles. And I will readily admit that this is basically an outdoor oven.
So far I've done boston butts, a brisket, ribs, chicken wings, whole chicken, deer sausage, and a few sides. Got a pork tenderloin for this weekend. I've been happy with everything except for the steaks. It will be a smoker for me, not a grill.

Thanks guys. Now I have to go pick up a pit boss tomorrow.
Good things will happen this weekend.

UGA does your pit boss have a slide in the center to expose the flame from the crucible? Mine has that feature so I would assume all the PBs do. Worked great for crisping bacon the other night.
Yes it has the slide to expose the flame in the middle. I used that for the steak but admitedly I didn't read much on that because I'm quite content with a ribeye over charcoal.
Mine looks like a scaled down version of yours. It doesn't have the rack on the front, the top grate might not be as big and my grates aren't as nice as yours. At least that's what I noticed from the pic.
Looks right tasty!!
