    Default Good kids campground?

We went on our first camping trip in our pop up this weekend and we had a blast. Went to daddy joes in tabor city. Kids had a blast at their little kiddie water park. We are ready to plan trip #2. Anyone know of any good campgrounds with water parks for the kids?

Not really a water park but the KOA in Cherokee is pretty cool for kids. They have heavily stocked trout streams and ponds, a big play ground, pool and a big movie theater where they play a disney movie every night, bike rentals , lots of hiking trails , waterfalls and of course Cherokee is right down the street a couple of miles. You can also bump right over to Cataloochie and see the Bears, Elk, Turkey and Deer wandering around like pets.

No water park but plenty to do. Davidson river campground is a great place.

Tallulah gorge state park in ga is pretty awesome. Camp on the lake, play in the waterfalls and rock slides, it's a natural water park. I remember having a blast when our parents took us as kids.

I do not recommend this place. Scenery was very outdated the one and only time I was there. Btw, I went with a friend who had the contract for cutting the grass.

Cedar creek in leesville doesn’t seem too kid friendly. They have nude 5k races and an event called nudestock. Don’t know much, but a quick search showed this. Might not be the best place for kids

There is a brand new park in Conway opening in July. Carolina pines. I don't know anything about it other than the website. And there are alot of artistic renderings on the site.

I don't plan on being there July 1st but I'm interested to check it out of because there are alot of cottages as well and will be easy for other non camper people to join us there.

Get a bike rack if you don't have one and take the bikes and helmets. Kids can have fun with a gravel lot and a bike. Water helps when it is hot.

We spend a lot of time at Lakewood. I've tried all the state parks on the beach and enjoy them. Especially for just me and the wife. Lakewood costs more but there is something to be said for all inclusive. For example we leave Huntington to go play putt putt. $40 later, Lakewood looks alot better. ETA: the rates drop Labor day. When mine were that age we did the week after labor day every year.

You should do lots of research in order to find a kid-friendly campgroung. This resource can be pretty helpful - https://travelsites.com/camping/ . Happy camping!

Yeah Yogi Bear camp ground is up that way as well is nice for kids. Has some decent camp sites and river side camp sites as well if your looking for that. Have been several times when I was younger and fishing the same river as the KOA. They stock on Wed/Sat unless they are doing that youth fishing tourny in town. Site to see them throw fish in the river from the road over your head.

“Duck hunting gives a man a chance to see the loneliest places …blinds washed by a rolling surf, blue and gold autumn marshes, …a rice field in the rain, flooded pin-oak forests or any remote river delta. In duck hunting the scene is as important as the shooting.” ~ Erwin Bauer, The Duck Hunter’s Bible, 1965
