Default Vet talks about the M1 Garand

The Elites don't fear the tall nails, government possesses both the will and the means to crush those folks. What the Elites do fear (or should fear) are the quiet men and women, with low profiles, hard hearts, long memories, and detailed target folders for action as they choose.

"I here repeat, & would willingly proclaim, my unmitigated hatred to Yankee rule—to all political, social and business connections with Yankees, & to the perfidious, malignant, & vile Yankee race."

Yeah, the 101st caught literal hell. God bless all of them.

I haven't watched the video, but from what I've heard from those who it affected, the M1 was the preferred weapon up until it was literally yanked from their hands. I've heard that the men who went to battle with the first issue of M16's would wrap them around trees during firefights and finish the confrontation off with their sidearm. M1's were the ultimate rifleman's tool and swayed a lot of conflicts our way. They earned a reputation, but had to be phased out at some point.
