Fishing from a dock, chicken rig with enough weight to hold bottom and fresh cut bait, shrimp, mud minnow or mullet on a 1/0 or 2/0 circle hook. Sit back and relax. I don’t fish inshore much, when I do I catch decent fish to big fish by being simple. Got a buddy that fishes every day in his kayak in those creeks, when it gets hot, he’ll drop back to this method too.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

What kind of boat? Fishing in the creek or nearshore? Do you want to troll for flounder?

Everything you will ever need plus a 6ft or 7ft cast net for live bait.

Thanks everyone for all the good information, and taking the time to share. I’m planning on putting together a tackle box for the trip in the next week or so. Will pick up some artificials, but sounds like live and cut bait is the way to go for this time of year. All I have ever used for Redfish is blue crabs, broken in half. Caught a couple of trout in Panama City with a buddy of mine. We used little Pinfish under a large foam bobber, while fishing a big flat. Never done a whole bunch of fishing, other than catching bream and bass in my grandparent’s pond. Would like to try some Redfish and Black Drum fishing under some bridges along the coast here. Caught my very first Redfish and Black Drum in Panama City. Redfish was 36”. Never have caught a Flounder. Thanks again for all the input. Keep it coming.

Learn it well Chris, then we can cast and blast in Sept while rail hunting.

It's really about what one is confident in.

I am confident that cut mullet under a cork will yield bluefish or blue crabs.
