Nice fish. Would be fun to fish in that pond for sure.

I dont care just for the record, but can you legally catch fish and transport them to other locations? Also, do the trout survive the winter? Good catchin.

Nice looking fish and young'uns. Heading down to fish Sunday and Monday. Staying on Edisto near steamboat creek. Anybody know how the fishing has been in the north Edisto? I know they are calling for a lot of rain but been planning this for a while and not changing now.

I caught some bass in the surf at the mouth of the North Edisto last weekend.

If I were you I'd check and see if the ramp at steamboat is open.

I don’t know, but I’ve put about 30 trout and flounder in there since February.

Also the deepest part of the pond is maybe 4ft so it stays pretty warm. That winter we had snow it froze over, and the fish survived until last summer when we got all that rain. I lost a good bit. Before the fish kill we would catch trout, blackdeum, sheepshead, spottail, and ladyfish. Nothing over 15”. After the kill all we would catch was a couple bass and ladyfish. The trout have yet to bite, but every morning you can see them exploding the surface. I mainly want to keep fish in there for my boys.

It's open. My buddies got down there about 6:30 this morning and already has sent me a video of a 4-5' gator swimming right by the boat. First gator we have seen in that area.

I’ve got a spot passed down through the generations that produce 3-6+ lb trout regularly. I’ve won many of inshore tournaments at that spot. Lots of people fish it, but only a handful know how to catch the big ones!
