    Default Help looking for cats

Im going to be around Myrtle Beach and want to take a buddy out for some catfish. Can anyone give me some tips or better areas to try. Waccamaw or PeeDee? I’m not trolling, just casting.

ICW where the airplanes fly over at the airport. Use to be a large pipe that came from Airforce base. Catfish always bit real good there. You would also get this cotton/fiberish/something on your hooks, not sure what it was. Set you some bush hooks back around Socastee-->Bucksport with live bream, plenty flatheads around.

I run a trotline up the big pee Dee near Yauhannah. I use cut eel and do really good on 10-30 lbs blues. I only bait it at night and don't catch many little ones. I can give you some info on that area if you'd like but that may be more of a drive than you want to make. Pm me if I can help.

Your best bet would be the santee river near Wilson's if you're willing to drive a bit.

ICW that far north, really ? Low tide or High tide ? I have caught small ones off docks on the north end of the icw, but that was just drinking beer and hanging out. I had thought they were small and lost.

Anyone been out on the waccamaw lately? Wonder where they are hiding with all this new rain water around!
