If it's self driving, and they can get the range to around 700+ miles, I'd think on it seriously. That would make my 10+/- trips west of the Mississippi River every year a little more bearable.

    Whoa now.

    Hang on.

I may be smart but I’m not the one having meetings with the clock work elves

I do like Mr Musk the Big I’ve read and scene about him.

As a side note when I saw the pic I thought about those transformer cars Gm came out with that flopped

    Avalanche?
    Yup, he's crazy...

like a fox. The dude may be coming in a little too hard and crazy but 90% of everything he says is correct.

That pack of walker dogs better not be a very well fed pack to fit in there. Oh, what am I talking about? Of course they won't be very well fed...

You can pick up all you want between Gtown and Andrews after the season. Probably put 100 or so of the run down animals in that thing.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

All of them won't need to fit in the back. Most will be in front pulling that pos after 200 miles........bank on it.

nice ground clearance, approach and departure angle- almost as if designed for off road- also looks like it would easily become a SUV

Trucks should have a gas-driven rear-wheel drive with a front electric drive system. The fine control and high-torque electric motors would be perfect for mudding, pulling boats out of the water and accelerating under heavy loads. The truck's engine could quickly charge the hybrid batteries.

I'd be more concerned with stopping 300,000lbs than towing it.
I take an PLB in the shower with me. Can't ever be too safe.

I'm not sure about this. I know most folks just use their trucks for getting around town, but this of that actually use trucks for say hauling crap in adverse conditions.

How is the locker system gonna work?

I know ya'll are picking on Fords, but they run circles around Z71'z in mud, along with all the foreign stuff Toyotas and so on (Except older small Toyotas pre tacoma) but those aren't full size trucks.

The F150's have rear lockers that really lock. It will go further than most GMC trucks in 4 wheel. Once you lock it and put it in 4 wheel with the anti slip off the front it really is a 4 wheel along with the rear physically locked. Makes for a truck that will boogie woogie in mud.

I just don't see Tesla getting that part correct. No other factory truck can seem to do it. Then you couple that with needing to refuel in hours. What Red Neck wants to forgo his morning coffee or Mt Dew and cigaret run for charging a truck for a few hours?

And the truck is gonna be ugly too boot??

This is setting up to fail, as is this is a classic case of not knowing your target audience.

Yet, the Honda Ridgeline is still in production...
