Default Handloading 12 gauge for reduced recoil or 20 Gauge

Any one had experience with handloading a 12ga for reduced recoil? Can you load turkey loads that would have less felt recoil than a 20ga but still be effective inside 30yards?

I can imagine a 3/4 oz load of TSS would do work on any bird at 30yds. I'd also think that you could do more work to the firearm to achieve lower recoil than with ammo. But I could be wrong.

Delta in a nutshell: Breeding grounds + small wetlands + big blocks of grass cover + predator removal + nesting structures + enough money to do the job= plenty of ducks to keep everyone smiling!

Absolutely. I had a buddy loaf some 1.25 oz 12’s for an old double barrel that had very little recoil
